Cassius is a quintessential leader who connects with sincerity, motivates with vigor and charisma, and empowers those around him. As my mentor, he has provided direction, insight, and a willingness to help. He is present during one-on-one conversations and is a constant promoter of others. Regardless of his future endeavors, both in the public and private sectors, he is sure to be successful and make a meaningful impact on the people and causes he serves. I personally hope that our continued communications and interactions build into a lasting relationship.

I have known Cassius Butts since our freshman year of college; September 1989. He has grown from an eager student- working his way through school, to aspiring graduate, to a seasoned professional. Cassius earned his bachelor degree from Morehouse College and has consistently strived to learn, contribute and progress in his industry. Cassius is a consummate professional; earning his an advanced degree in 2002. His passion for education and policy are exhibited through his roles as a college professor, government enthusiast and consultant. Cassius balances his career with another important role as a community activist. He takes his responsibility seriously and constantly strives to provide leadership, support and guidance to worthy initiatives. Cassius lends his talents to causes such as development for at-risk teens; often encouraging his friends and family to get involved too. Despite a hectic schedule, Cassius still finds time to spend with his friends and family; providing support when needed as well as sharing professional insight towards various endeavors. Cassius is a class act and would be an asset to any organization. Cassius' leadership has been an integral part of his personality since we attended Morehouse College. Always willing to help, to give a good word, and assist others, Cassius has retained his interpersonal prowess and has a successful background to prove it. I have always looked up to Cassius and admired his strength, intelligence and wisdom. He is a valuable and productive man who has influenced many.
