Forest Hills Eastern's theatre department was lacking a spring show for the school year, allowing a fellow student and me to found the first ever improv group at Eastern. We developed the concept, pitched it to the principal for permission and endorsement, secured funding from the FHE Theatre Boosters, and worked with the project through its conclusion. Accomplishments: -Acquired the help of an improv professional from the community to help cast the team and teach us how to direct and coach an improv team. -Advertised and held open auditions after a short improv workshop, giving students the opportunity to practice something not often experienced, thereafter cast a team of 12. -Organized the rehearsal schedule, lead rehearsals, and coached the team. -Heavily-advertised for the show, gaining enough ticket sales to cover all costs and make a substantial profit. -Formatted and co-hosted the final performance.
