I've been leading a really exciting piece of work with the incredibly creative and dedicated leadership team at #ThursdaysChild Global. Over the past few months I have spearheaded the company's journey into corporate philanthropy by establishing a new Foundation that will help to create greater diversity in the creative arts industry. #ThursdaysChild Global is a community of young photographers and digital artists working with world leading brands. As the Programme Manager of a women's health start-up NGO, I wore lots hats that spanned strategic development and operations management. I was responsible for programme design and project management, fundraising and budget management, monitoring performance and impact evaluation. My work also included establishing strategic partnerships with the government, local healthcare providers and community organisations, which helped in extending the reach and impact of WAJAMAMA’s work. I raised £200K of grant funding in the first year of operation, and during my time at WAJAMAMA we reached 30,000 women and girls through our health care projects. One of my proudest achievements was mobilising a COVID-19 response initiative, raising £20k and collaborating with other health care providers and community leaders to provide frontline workers with PPE and reaching 250,000 people through our awareness-raising campaign. WAJAMAMA is a women- led NGO aimed at revolutionising healthcare services for women and girls. Show less
