Erica Young
Cassandra has great broadcasting skills and has produced high quality content for our college radio station, U92-FM. She has good knowledge of what makes an effective story and is willing to go above and beyond to make her work the best it can be.
Maxwell Shavers
Cassandra is both a great student and co-worker. I have had a couple classes with her, but both of us work at the campus radio station WWVU-FM. I am the sports director and she overlooks all of the hockey operations. She is very knowledgable about the sport that she is in charge of and she takes initiative to see that others are excited about volunteering to work hockey games as well. This shows in the amount of people that have signed up to work the sport that she is in charge of. Her organization skills are superb as well. Her emails are clear everybody who receives them understand the point that she is trying to get across. Her emails are also extremely punctual. She makes sure that everybody knows when all of the home games take place weeks in advance. This gives us enough time to assemble a crew and even change it if somebody decides that they are not able to work a certain game. This is extremely helpful. Aside from her personality traits, she is well versed in the equipment that we use to broadcast games. This equipment includes an audio mixer board, Comrex Access remote, Presonus audiobox, headphone and microphone equipment, and anything else you would find in a radio studio. Her broadcasting voice is as best as anyone in the stations for she has a lot of experience whether it be calling play-by-play, calling color, featuring on sports talk shows, or doing a quick update on air about the daily sports news. Overall, Cassandra is one of the best members of the sports staff here at the campus radio station, and she isn't even a veteran. As she gets more comfortable with her role and gains more seniority her traits will only grow stronger and better. - Maxwell Shavers (Sports Director)
