Deputy Curriculum Leader

My main responsibility has involved overhauling the KS3 curriculum. There is now ample opportunity for students to study challenging texts, concepts and themes between Years 7-9. The new curriculum intertwines both reading and writing skills as well as regular chances for students to practise speaking and listening skills. Additionally, I ensure that behaviour for learning expectations are high across the department and teaching staff are well supported. Further, I subject mentor new staff members in their ITT.
