  I spent several years doing work that I was truly passionate about, however, after becoming disillusioned about working in a small government bureaucracy, and tiring of industry in-fighting, I decided to give myself a year to refresh my enthusiasms and passions. I wanted to explore new avenues of learning and growth. So, I left my job and moved to Minnesota to be closer to friends and family. Toward the end of this time period I found an interest in software development, and pursued an education in this completely new direction.
