• Employed as a camp counselor at one of the longest-running summer camps in California where I lived and worked consistently for the summer of 2019. • Received extensive training in child care with a particular emphasis on the Tawonga mission: building positive self-esteem, creating a cooperative community, fostering a relationship with nature, and exploring spirituality and positive Jewish identity. • Daily responsibilities revolved around a bunk of about 12 children and included caring for their mental and physical health, planning activities, ensuring their social well-being, and numerous other logistical tasks. • This summer, they were featured in the New York Times for their pioneering of an all-gender cabin comprised of campers across the gender spectrum (see article below).
