I worked with Casey to partner on intentional purchasing and culture change actions through the Portland Means Progress initiative at Salt & Straw. Casey was creative in advancing racial equity work both internally and externally to the organization. She supported colleagues in finding ways to embed culture change in their own work, and was a leader in identifying ways to drive meaningful actions. As a growing organization, Casey supported Salt & Straw to center their values of inspiring and connecting people, and building deep connections within our local community. Casey is wonderful to work with and thoughtful in her work!

At Salt & Straw, I learned from Casey how to use supportive communication to develop strong relationships cross-functionally and to get things done effectively. We also worked closely and tirelessly to develop our COVID-19 Health & Safety Program. She carefully developed the company's internal communication plan to recognize the impacts on the business while also setting a high value and commitment to our team's health and safety. We often heard from our team that they felt taken care of and informed during some of the most uncertain of times. Through Casey's thoughtful collaboration and strategic leadership, we were able to create a culture of safety and putting people first.
