As the primary developer for a diverse investment portfolio in Chicago, my largest projects involved designing and building multiple full-stack web applications for both internal and external use. I picked up web development completely on the job, creating applications using the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) and the more modern MEAN stack (MongoDB, ExpressJS, AngularJS, NodeJS). While studying at the University of Notre Dame, I worked in the Complex Networks Lab, studying academic research papers and articles related to biological network analysis. Through reading about the current algorithm implementations and combing through existing C code, I was able to discover areas for improvement in exisiting strategies, and I optimized one of the network alignment algorithms by adding two further accuracy measures.
