-Use SolidWorks to model, design, and complete drawings for tooling, parts, and accesories for manufacturing and firearms sales. -Design parts to reduce manufacturing time and reduce product cost. -Design parts to improve aesthetics. -Perform prototype testing using MTS Uni-axial machine and other innovative test methods.-Perform trade studies for materials and processes to find ways to improve production and reduce costs-Use Microsoft Excel, Word, and PDM Works to organize and record data, part files, and drawings.

      • Aug 2012 - Jul 2013

My ASU senior design group built a small shoe box sized electric generator. The key objective of the box is to generate electricity without the use of fossil fuels or grid services during any time of day. The use of solar cells and thermopiles/thermoelectric devices were used. The solar cells are based on photo-voltaic principles and the Peltier/Seebeck Effects for the thermoelectric module.Thermal and electrical analyses were performed to determine power requirements needed for the use of a USB.SolidWorks modeling was used to design and create the product in 3D CAD.ANSYS was used to verify thermal conductivity calculations.Machine shop equipment was used to manufacture final prototype. Such as mill-drill press, CNC, and various hand and welding tools.
