I was approached by my current employer early in 2019 when she was in the process of setting up RCT's first zero waste shop. she was aware of the volunteer conservation work that I do in the local area and impressed with the 'green credentials' that I could bring to her business. Volunteer Green Activities Coordinator
-
Sep 2016 - Jun 2019
Advising on, organising and implementing environmental conservation measures at a welsh medium primary school. I conducted gardening and conservation activities with all pupils at the school. Liaising with senior staff and the 'Eco Committee' on 'green issues'. Keeping a record of activities undertaken and compiling reports. Working alongside staff to recruit and coordinate volunteers. Working to a small budget and sourcing most materials by visiting local businesses and reusing materials that would otherwise have been sent to landfill. Working with pupils from a local comprehensive school and supervising them alongside their teacher in setting up gardening projects for the Castellau children. The gardening project has been put on hold due to the pandemic but I am still working with the Castellau pupils on other, more current projects. Show less
