  Attended Interdisciplinary Rounds Meetings for the Schizophrenia and Affective treatment teams. Responsibilities included recording the names and job role of each team member and the time they arrived, the start/finish times of each meeting, whether the meeting started/ended late, and the amount of time each patient was discussed; calculating average patient discussion time and length of each meeting; and determining any statistical outliers. At the conclusion of the research, I collaborate with the other research assistant to determine which treatment teams were most effective and punctual with their IDR meetings. Through this internship, I became very familiar with psychotic disorders (specifically schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and depressive disorders), various methods of treatment regarding these psychotic disorders, various legal and social work terms in regards to legally committed/voluntary treatment, and gained a greater understanding of medical jargon and practice and how it can be related to legal practice.
