  This June I was able to have the opportunity to work with Students Shoulder to Shoulder as a program intern on their New Orleans Field Study. I helped the course leaders with the group, high-school aged students, while encouraging them to participate and expand their comfort zone. During this program we partnered with local NGO Common Ground Relief to learn and combat wetland loss. While exploring the city and the swamp, the group was able to expand their knowledge and skill set to become ethical leaders in their community. Show less
