Christopher Daniel Wijaya
Carson is one of the most wonderful, caring and empathic person I've every worked with. His skills and abilities to continually lead, motivate and set an amazing team working culture is second to none. The amount of care he puts to every individual on the team and how each member fit in and get along with others greatly improves the culture and hence the productivity of the team. Carson always proactively seeks out any potential problems and always solves them beforehand and he is also a very creative person with lots of ideas who can convey his point of view in a very respectful manner. Carson is also very humble and open to stepping out of his comfort zone learning about new things always respectfully seeking help from others. Finally Carson has a very high ethical and moral standards that I truly respect, being very aware of any types of cultural differences between people. I think any team will be lucky to have Carson on board and I'm confident that he will be the gel and the backbone of the team driving the team to be the most productive and performing team.
Ignacio Larrú
Carson took a few of my classes while studying for his MBA at IE. He consistently showed curiosity and a willingness to make mistakes in the face of greater understanding of a subject, something that positively affected his teammates and subsequently their projects being more daring and unorthodox. Something else that set him apart was that he listened, and was unafraid of giving me feedback on both what I was doing well and what I could change. Both the out of the box thinking and trust building Carson brings are key contributors to his ability to build strong relationships

I started by getting on a plane and moving from Chile to Thailand with two bags and a flimsy promise of a job on the other side. By the end of my three years I had traveled and worked on every continent except Antartica; learned the value of feedback leading me to triple sales on my immediate team; been promoted to lead all new business and new project development outside of our existing regions, been sent to China to reconnect a Hub that was in the red that, after 6 months we made profitable again; found and closed one of the biggest deals (half million dollars) in the small company’s history; and officially earned the title “Firefighter”—it was on my payslip. Hard to translate how meaningful the experience working at this start-up social enterprise, but the amount of learning I got from getting stranded in a typhoon in Hong Kong with 150 kids and needing to develop a day’s worth of programming within 10 minus; from building a week long design sprint in 2 months for 175 high schoolers in Singapore that connected 40 different non-profits and required 6 different sets of logistics and teammates on a shoestring budget (my 15 roommates in my hostel would agree); and from recognizing that my biggest asset is my team and building care through structured communication tools ending up in huge sales boosts.

I came in to answer customer service emails, I left having a hand in the marketing and communications strategy. I ended up corresponding in three and a half different languages (portuguese-ish spanish), creating a market research database of over 300 competitors, and supporting the CEO target new spaces to expand share of wallet in the market. We saw a need and we filled it. My co-founder and I realized that we could sell nut butters at double their purchasing price without any overhead (we encouraged reusable containers). After lots of recipes—and some roommate conflicts because of the noise the food processors made—we were able to both sell at farmer’s markets around Santiago as well as create a delivery service.
