This position was focused on customer service. I worked at a help desk where students and faculty brought in their laptops. I was responsible for helping to diagnose the problem by troubleshooting and asking questions. I was also responsible for helping professors with the technology in classrooms. This would sometimes be done over the phone. The desk was next to a computer lab, so I was also in charge of filling printers with paper and helping students connect to wi-fi. • Online Editor
      • Sep 2016 - Dec 2017

The Wake Magazine is a completely student run publication at the University of Minnesota. I began as a freelancer, writing articles for each issue. I then became the Online editor, where I oversaw our web exclusive section. I was responsible for pitching story ideas, editing those stories (with AP Style, of course) and working one-on-one with each writer. The following year, my position changed and I became responsible for managing our video team. Here, I would film, edit and promote various videos throughout the year. I would also be the one to reach out to people scheduling interviews and setting up shoots. Show less

This was a summer internship where I helped to manage the social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) of a public access station. I worked closely with the marketing team in promoting events and new changes at the station as it was rebranding. We spent a lot of time re working the customer policies and I crafted various emails and letters sent to members informing them of changes to their access privileges. I also worked with the MTN crew, helping to set up and take down equipment at shoots, operate cameras, and take photos. Show less
