The New Zealand Hydrogen Council was formed in September 2018 by private and public sector organisations with seed funding from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment to support the progression and uptake of low emission hydrogen in New Zealand. The Council are New Zealand’s leading hydrogen agency and are an intrinsic part of New Zealand’s emerging hydrogen industry, as well as an important link to the opportunities that are evolving globally. There is now almost unanimous recognition amongst the world’s leading economies that hydrogen will play a significant role in delivering deep decarbonisation of mobility, industry and buildings and it will also enable a global renewable energy production and distribution system. As the world grapples with reducing its reliance on fossil fuels, unprecedented international investment is occurring in hydrogen by private sector organisations, research institutions and governments. With such an important contribution to make in decarbonising the global energy system, it is inevitable that an increase in the deployment of large-scale hydrogen infrastructure will follow. All countries transitioning to a hydrogen economy face a key challenge of providing adequate training and up-skilling to support hydrogen energy roll out. The Council want to support the creation of the new low emissions hydrogen economy by working with industry, government & academia to support the development of the new skills required. Show less

A not-for-profit, Central Lakes Trust is a charitable trust supporting the community by granting funds for charitable purposes throughout the Central Lakes district. The Trust is the largest philanthropic trust per capita in the Southern Hemisphere. Its purpose is to ensure it can be available over time to help support charitable projects throughout Central Lakes; to enhance the community and the lives of the people within. Since inception in November 2000 the Trust has grown its asset base from the $155 million bestowed by the Otago Central Electric Power Trust to assets totalling $467 million, as at FYE 31 March 2022. As Communications & Marketing Coordinator, I developed and delivered the communications and marketing strategy, communicating the work of the Trust to a wide ranging stakeholder group, reporting back to the board on quarterly basis. This includes but is not limited to all forms of communication, media relations, web development, research and event delivery. Show less
