Carrie and I first worked together at the Youth Policy Institute when we were both R&E Managers for the school-based grants operated by the organization. Working alongside Carrie, I came to appreciate her level-headedness and solutions based inquiry, both of which were incredibly helpful in helping her, and our team, navigate a sometimes ambiguous landscape. In her work with program teams, she had a reputation of being pragmatic, open to suggestions and working together, and incredibly skilled at dissecting large, multifaceted problems into manageable chunks. Over the last couple years, I've also had the pleasure of consulting with Carrie on a very unique and iterative evaluation of a professional development program geared towards helping teachers integrate art into their classrooms. Although the deliverable requested was a summative evaluation assessing early outcomes of the program, Carrie's customer-first approach to evaluation was ever present throughout as we built in additional formative evaluation components as well. Carrie's inclusive approach to evaluation would make her a great asset to any organization and I would highly recommend her for any evaluation-based position.

Carrie implemented measurement and program evaluation practices at our organization starting essentially from scratch and did an incredible job. Her attention to detail and her keen analytical abilities matched with her passion for mission translated to data, reports, and communications that presented vividly impactful stories. She's charismatic, collaborative, and always reliable. Working alongside Carrie at Urban Gateways for nearly three years was a delight!

Utilizing an agile approach with a team of developers, I helped clients adopt new technology by supporting them with the initial and ongoing configuration, development, and use of the VerticalChange data system. I provided guidance on best practices, configure the system to the needs of the agency, train staff, provide ongoing support, and helped clients understand and harness their data to best support their mission. In addition to project management, I designed educational materials including training videos, user documentation, and help articles to guide users towards proficient use of the app. I also helped clients monitor progress towards critical goals or performance indicators by building in-app calculations and dashboards with the use of SQL and Lua scripting languages.
