The Biomechanics and Motion Analysis laboratory at Marquette University focuses on answering questions about the intricate aspects of human movement. With the capability to reconstruct and analyze motion in 2-D and 3-D, we use modeling and computational software to help quantify the many facets motion. With a particular focus on the lower extremity, we are providing data and information that could potentially help prevent injuries, improve screening tools, and also maximize athletic potential. Equipped with a number of other tools such as electromyography (EMG) electrodes, accelerometers and cardiopulmonary function sensors, recent developments in technology allow us to see the many factors that encompass and influence human movement Show less
