Without hesitation, I eagerly recommend Carrie Heath! I had the pleasure of working with Carrie at the San Diego Film Commission, which merged during it's final year with the San Diego Tourism Authority. I was the Assistant Director of Television and Assistant Director of Production and oversaw much of her work. Carrie's job performance in all categories was excellent. Not only did she succeed with duties as originally hired, but she also proved herself more than capable taking on additional responsibilities. As funding issues unfortunately precipitated layoffs of multiple senior staff members, Carrie successfully absorbed their duties into her daily workload. This often required that she learn new job descriptions and protocol in areas where she had little direct prior experience. She managed this while maintaining outstanding service to our customers and constituents, and always with a smile, even under the stress of tight project deadlines. Carrie's hard skills are clearly excellent. She has great experience with Office computer programs, and whenever I jammed the copier (which was all too often), she was my go-to person for help. But I think what sets Carrie apart from other candidates is her exceptional soft skills: her communication and collaborative abilities, her confidentiality, personality and ability to comfortably interact with everyone she encounters from student interns to seasoned board executives. Many times an employer will find themselves considering multiple potential employees with similar experience. Often what it comes down to is, is this person the right "fit"? Will they merge seamlessly into our companies' culture and clients? Carrie is without a doubt the right fit for many workplace environments. It is with sadness that the SDFC finally had to close its doors due to lack of funding. I very much miss working with Carrie and wish her the absolute best!
