Carrie was my first impression to the Hospitality House of Charlotte, where she served as Executive Director. And it is because of Carrie's passion that I chose to adopt HHoC's mission and continue to serve on it's Board of Directors. Her enthusiasm, honesty, and absolute professionalism are key components to the success of this non-profit, but it's her genuine concern for the well-being of ALL (guests, employees, and community) that qualifies her as "exceptional". Carrie treats line-level staff with the same respect and dignity as high-level donors or Public figures. Her organization and attention to detail are superb, as is her broad vision for future planning. It was a pleasure to work with Carrie, and those who work/serve with her in the future will certainly benefit from her influence.

As a consultant, I choose my own clients and look for evidence of certain leadership qualities in them. Ultimately, I look for the Carries of the world because it’s nearly impossible to effect change in an organization if not working among change agents. Carrie is a former client of mine, but I look to her as an advisor. She’s strategic, creative and brings an authentic voice to the nonprofit industry. She has a knack for moving individuals with disparate opinions to consensus, to making quicker decisions and to executing in a timely manner with confidence. Though I’m sad to see Hospitality House of Charlotte lose a dynamic leader, I’m thrilled that Carrie has chosen to apply her skills through consulting, where she can make a broader impact. Any nonprofit would be fortunate to have Carrie as a partner in their growth and sustainability.
