Girl Tribe Co. is a women empowerment brand, founded by Carrie Barker and Sarah Baucom in Charlotte, in 2014. What began as a passionate "side hustle" quickly became a strong brand that was noticed and loved among those who follow Girl Tribe co on Social Media. Girl Tribe co boasts original and fun women empowerment positive graphic tee shirts and gifts for women and children, and is proud to print and embellish in their hometown of Charlotte, NC. In October 2015, the women began "Pink Social Girl Tribe" - a female led entreprenourial movement and web space where women could share in the joys and grievances of everyday business moments. Girl Tribe Pop Up was grown from the strong knit support system of the Pink Social Girl Tribe community and again, a need based opportunity arose. Girl Tribe created a new wave of mobile retail in December 2015, affectionately called "Girl Tribe Pop Up". Within one day, they hosted 80 local, women-owned businesses that ranged from multi vendor boutiques to handmade jewelry, stationery and all things girly. The response was overwhelming, and so began the next phase of Pink Social as an events company and movement. Since December 2015, Pink Social has produced 5 Girl Tribe Pop Up events and growth is expected to double in 2017.
