  Colorado Cultivars is a small start up industrial hemp farm and we also claim the title to being the largest hemp farm in the U.S. With nearly 2,000 acres under cultivation in 2017 there are a lot of shoes to fill and hats to wear for our staff including myself. Through daily determined efforts, hard work and organized, methodical systems improvement I've gone from being hired as a farm hand to now managing our production of many hempseed food as well as CBD health products. Even though I may not have known it as a child, organic gardening and farming has always been in my blood. My family and I have maintained a large backyard garden my entire life and I've been. I've grown up with and around plants of all sorts. There are always trellises to be built, irrigation systems to install or repair and crops to tend to. I've been doing these types of projects with my family most of my life. For a while I was distracted with my insurance career and making money. But then I started to feel a part of me was missing. So, I switched gears and went head on in to agriculture work. With this company, I've vastly improved my farming skills and knowledge of running an agricultural business rather than just a garden.

  I consult with both business owners and individuals how to use life insurance for major, life altering diseases such as cancer, heart attacks, strokes etc.and not just for passing away. I also, show them how to create a tax-free retirement plan through life insurance that they can't outlive and is safe from market fluctuations. There are two main problems with many traditional retirement or large expense saving plans i.e. College Education Savings. The first is most are subject to what the market does. If the market goes up your plan grows. If the market plummets, your account value goes right along with it and we've seen in the past decade how far it can fall. The second issue is many plans are regulated by the Federal Government, 401 (k), 403 (b), IRA, etc. This means that when money is withdrawn it is taxed as income which is a huge expense when in retirement years. That's why I consult with individuals on how to combat both of these issues and use the genius of life insurance to realize their true financial goals.

  I worked closely with many local business owners and their employees to either help them start a benefit package or complete their existing one. Aflac plans pay cash to individuals when they are sick or injured so they can keep their personal bills paid and take care of out of pocket medical expenses. A majority of the population don't realize that just having health insurance doesn't cover everything. With the rising cost of healthcare, more and more are signing up for health insurance that have deductibles of $3,000 or more. On top of that, most plans also have coinsurance which means they're stuck with paying anywhere from 20-40% of the medical bill up to their out of pocket max. How many of us are prepared to pay thousands if tens of thousands out of pocket from a major accident or illness? That's why Aflac exists to be there the whole way and pay benefits directly to the people. In my opinion, Any business owner that wants to offer more to their employees should meet with our team especially if they can't afford to pay more for benefits.
