Senior School Teacher
-
Jan 2017 - Present
In 2017, after a career break to bring up 3 children, I retrained to become a secondary school teacher gaining my PGCE at Portsmouth University in 2018, and currently teach Geography from KS3 through to A Level as well as Economics A Level at The Royal School, Haslemere. In my role I like to focus on using a range of different classroom techniques, particularly through the use of technology, to create inspiring interactive lessons that engage a variety of student abilities in an inclusive manner. With an interest in mental health, I have continued to train, and currently am a qualified MHFA (Mental Health First Aid) Youth Mental Health Instructor increasingly involved in training staff and sixth-form pupils in mental health issues to become MHFA ambassadors. I am now currently in the process of training to qualify as an Adult MHFA instructor as well. Show less
