Director of Connections and Care
-
Aug 2016 - Aug 2018
I was the first point of contact for our large congregation's CARE needs. I developed and coordinated our Care Team, which brings the church to people in their homes with visits/prayers/sending cards/telephoning/taking meals/doing handyman tasks/crafting gifts/bringing communion. I helped CONNECT those at the church by recruiting, training, scheduling & nurturing volunteers. I kept the church data base up to date, write newsletter announcements, and made arrangements for orientation & membership classes. I posted blogs in 2017 at http://www.troyumc.org/category/lay-ministry/
