I never had to remind her of anything; she was always on top of it. She has an energetic, lively personality and always has a new project (or five) going on! As the Manager of Communications and Community Engagement, I work to enhance public trust in local government, navigate the world of divergent community views, promote two-way dialogue and translate complex issues into consumable information. I devise and execute communications and engagement strategies for a range of municipal issues and initiatives and lead communications for local emergencies. I craft speeches, key messages and provide strategic counsel for Council and the Corporate Leadership Team. Liaison with outside agencies such as TransLink, Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, Government of Canada and the Province of British Columbia to deliver media events. Collaborating closely with a broad-range of internal and external stakeholders, I implemented the first-ever public participation policy and framework as well as www.haveyoursaypittmeadows.ca which bolstered public participation by 800 percent.

Geoscience BC, an independent, non-profit organization that generates earth science in collaboration with First Nations, local communities, governments, academia and the resource sector. The independent earth science generated by Geoscience BC enables all sectors to make informed resource management decisions and attracts investment and jobs to British Columbia.
