Until August 2011, I have been Caroline's immediate line manager for several months. I found her to be consistently pleasant, tackling all assignments with dedication and a smile. Besides being a joy to work with, Caroline is a take-charge, outcome focused person who is able to present creative ideas and communicates benefits. She has successfully developed several performance management plans for our Trust that resulted in increased performance in clinical services. During her tenure, we saw an increase in the delivery of KPIs related to the social care delegated function from Local Authority. This improvement was a direct result of the plans implemented by Caroline. All of Caroline’s work is finished to a high standard. The Regional eHealth Project is a joint initiative between Cairns & Hinterland and Torres & Cape Hospital and Health Services, which aims to enhance eHealth infrastructure and implement an electronic health record across 58 regional and remote healthcare facilities in Far North Queensland. I led the Business Analysis stream for the project, which included preparation of high-level solution requirements and the formal Queensland Health tender invitation to the market. I led the functional shortlisting of tender responses, and the functional evaluation of shortlisted respondents during face to face presentations. I also established the benefits evaluation framework for the project, and informed early functional solution design during the implementation planning study.

Apunipima is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation delivering comprehensive primary health care services in Cape York, Northern Australia. During my first 2 years at Apunipima, I embedded processes and systems that tripled the organisation's Medicare revenue. I also I led the role out of the organisation's first Cape-wide electronic health record, and then established the eHealth team to support the organisation in the ongoing configuration, user support and system governance to ensure the integrity of the record was maintained and the health service delivery benefits maximised. The team oversaw all aspects of system configuration, health and population data analysis, internal and external reporting, Medicare revenue generation and user training and support. I undertook significant activity, performance, and population health analysis for a variety of purposes, and established a series of automated patient management dashboards to support managers and service delivery staff with access to their own data.
