PhD on the development of an optimized perfused-continuous process for the culture of mesenchymal umbilical cord stem cells grown on innovative adhesion supports. This PhD was carried out in the framework of an INTERREG project "Improve-stem", within a multidisciplinary consortium. This 3-year project had three main objectives: 1) The demonstration of the migration capacity of stem cells from their supports and the optimized use of this migration capacity. 2) The study of the performance of the microcarriers developed by the European partners of the project in fed-batch bioreactor mode for the mesenchymal stem cells expansion.3) The development of a perfused-continuous process for the culture of stem cells on microcarriers. My project focused on the optimized production of recombinant proteins in plants using biolistics techniques. The transformation of tobacco leaves via their chloroplasts thus allowed the implementation of an oral vaccine. Ruminants, the targets of our study, could thus be immunized by simple absorption of the plant tissue.
