I spent 6 months in the Photonics Systems Laboratory of Prof. Camille Bres. My work was mainly experimental and the goal was to study the nonlinear properties of Silicone Nitride waveguides and their ability to generate broadband spectrum in the mid-infrared range. President of the OSA Student Chapter
-
Nov 2014 - Nov 2018
I created the first OSA Student Chapter in Finland. I was its president for 4 years, until the end of my PhD. During this time, I was in charge of applying for funding, write the annual activity reports, organise internal event like the monthly "Optics, Coffee and Cookies", but also international events like our annual Symposium. The main role of the student chapter was to initiate first year students to Photonics in general and create a network between the student in Photonics and the professors from our university but also from abroad.
