The CRD will also be tasked with building/strengthening relationships, as needed, to benefit the company across its multi-category media products. I was also given the task of creating a publication that was reflective of the minority demographics in Lynn, Peabody, Revere and Salem, while simultaneously, fostering positive relationships within the communities we serve. La Voz Newspaper published its first edition in November 2016. The combination of both of my roles within EMG have served as a perfect platform to not only implement culturally sensitive media interventions that capture the specific needs of Latinos residing in the North Shore, but also have allowed me to learn about the cultural diversity within our residents, and build a wide professional network that has helped me fulfill the mission of the paper which is: to empower the Latino community through information.
