Sep 2022 - May 2023
Worked with a multi-disciplinary team on environmental assessment and permitting for the Eskay Creek Revitalization Project. This role focused on contributing to the coordination and execution of groundwater and surface water baseline and compliance field work, sampling, and data processing as well as assisting with permitting processes. A highlight of this position was leading and coordinating field crews (consultants, contractors, labourers, etc) in complex, multi-disciplinary field programs (groundwater, surface water quality, hydrology, meteorology) to meet various project needs. A special project completed during this position was the development and maintenance of an environmental field data management system (the ‘FDM’). This project was undertaken after identifying an inefficiency within Skeena’s environmental data management. The FDM was developed to ensure field data collection, conducted by numerous consultants, was inclusive and accessible to ensure continuity in project records across disciplines and project disciplines.
