I'm currently part of the Core team of Living Apps, a web-based service that users can consume from their STB.My main focus is on the front end. I started the project developing the webapps that are displayed in the STB and in the Movistar Home device, using vanilla Javascript, CSS and Handlebars for templating. During this stage I helped in the development of the webapps for internal products and for third parties. After the project gained traction and the complexity of the apps outgrew the possibilities of the technologies we were using, I pushed for a change towards using React, and managed to get the first React Living App to work in the STB's legacy browser. I led and developed a React-based SDK, which allowed multiple third-party and internal teams to develop Living Apps much faster. It is currently being used by multiple teams.Despite my focus being in the front end, I occasionally give a hand in the backend side, using NodeJS and Microsoft Bot Framework.

    • Movistar Home Backend Developer
      • Feb 2018 - Aug 2019

I took part on the development of Telefonica's smart home device, Movistar Home. My role was focused on the backend: I took part in developing an OpenID Connect-based authenticator service using Java (Play Framework), and then continued developing different APIs, all for the same device. I also developed a backoffice service, using Angular for the frontend and Java for the backend.

I took part in multiple projects:- Helped maintaining Latch, a web service that allows its users to lock or unlock access to an account from their phone. Used Play Framework (Java).- Developed a browser extension from scratch for Latch, an existing security service. The extension allowed the user to log in using their existing Latch account, which then allowed them to autofill 2FA codes when prompted, and to send those same codes from their phone to their browser using Bluetooth. I developed the extension using Angular, and it supported both Chrome and Firefox.- Took part in the development of If This Then Latch (IFTTLatch), a web-based service that allowed the user to link IFTTT triggers to their Latch accounts status. - Helped in the development of the Smart Wifi application. I mainly worked in the backend functionality using Play Framework, but also gave a hand for some functionality in the iOS and Android side.
