Wat ik enorm waardeer aan Carol is dat ze met een open blik naar zaken kan kijken en ruimte laat om het referentiekader van de ander te ontdekken. Ik vond het heel aangenaam om het haar samen te werken in dit project!

This opportunity enabled me to gain insights of clinical trials within the context of a Contract Research Organization (CRO). I was based in the biorepository department of the reference laboratories where we managed samples from various therapeutic areas including; hematology & oncology, cardiovascular, autoimmune disease, nephrology & renal disease, neurology and rare indications. As a coordinator, I oversaw sample shipments to other referral laboratories across the globe. I also collaborated with the project management in development of key study documents such as quick reference charts for sample processing. Moreover, my function included representing the department in study meetings and being the point of contact with regards to sample management. Within my time of service, I take pride in not only the mastery of the shipping & clinical data management software but also restructuring of the shipment and Quality Control (QC) process of the outgoing shipments achieving 100% accuracy in sample deliveries. Background: Amref Health Africa was the principal recipient of Global Fund grant for control and prevention of Malaria in Western and Nyanza Kenya. To achieve this, AMREF worked with 27 non-governmental/community-based organizations (sub-recipients) based in the above-mentioned regions.
