• Monitor, review and evaluate housekeeping standards regularly to ensure the highest possible levels of service and hygiene are provided and maintained • Manage the facilities budget to ensure the efficient and cost-effective running of the department • Inspect all rooms, equipment and furniture on a regular basis and request in-house repairs or replacements when necessary so as to ensure all rooms are fully functioning • Liaise with other departments and external contractors regarding the management of day to day activities and to ensure function rooms are set up correctly • Carry out the recruitment and training of new members of housekeeping staff in line with departmental procedures and plan development via internal and external training for Supervisors and Team Members to ensure they have the knowledge and skills required to achieve agreed performance targets • Lead the Accommodations Team through the Supervisors, to ensure effective and efficient performance, communication and problem solving within the department • Develop and review procedures and staff training to ensure departmental compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation • Organise and manage regular specialist cleaning such as windows and upholstery when appropriate to ensure the highest possible standards are met and maintained Show less
