Instigator, co-founder and currently Project Manager of DD Day - now a registered charity. Caro is co-founder and project manager of Delia Derbyshire Day which champions and acts as a platform women in sound and visual arts both past and present. Caro appeared on Dick and Dom's Absolute Genius on CBBC episode about the late electronic music pioneer "Delia Derbyshire", helping them to re-create the original Dr Who theme using animal sounds. I also designed and deliver music technology courses in primary schools in Greater Manchester in partnership with One Education Music, inspired by Delia's work while covering the fundamentals of electronic music composition, music production and studio engineering. Composed, produced and performed an electronic music creative response to the Delia Derbyshire Archive for the first DD Day in 2013. Subsequently toured the piece around England including the Royal Institute (of science) and performed in Berlin. Experience the piece here on Vimeo: https://vimeo.com/63914942
