  Participation as a student on the Google Summer of Code 2014 international program, working with an open source organization for 3 months. It was an opportunity to start learning d3.js (Data-Driven Documents), a JavaScript library for visualizing data with HTML, SVG, and CSS. During that experience, I worked on 'el-grafo', a graphical and interactive web-based tool that allowed users to intuitively explore the abstract domain model of Bio4j, a bioinformatics graph data platform that integrates most data available in Uniprot KB (SwissProt + Trembl), Gene Ontology (GO), UniRef (50,90,100), NCBI Taxonomy, and Expasy Enzyme DB.
