Constant liaison with Doctors, Nurses and other medical personnel to ensure that all involved have accurately updated information on residents' health status. Assessed potential residents' level of functioning, to ensure the highest quality of care. Review residents' charts for accuracy and compliance progress notes, MD orders, level of care changes. Observe, supervise and record residents' self-administration of prescribed medication in accordance with NY State department of Health regulations. Record and report residents' refusal and/or reactions to the Resident Service Director, Medical Doctor or LPN on duty, communicate concerns and share information with Residents' families. Reschedule staff when absences occur, cover shifts when needed.Coordinated appointments for residents with doctors and other medical issues as needed. Obtain and ordered prescriptions. Show less
