I've worked with Carme at GeneAdviser. She came in as one of the first employees and was pivotal in creating and developing our brand and marketing strategy. One of our key early customers came out of that brand outreach, so this was definitely a very measurable successful outcome. Personally she is really easy to work with, and has excellent work ethics and ability to quickly adapt and pick up new tasks. Would definitely work with Carme again if I had the opportunity!

I've worked with Carme for Pint of Science 2015 in Cambridge; I was the coordinator for Cambridge and Carme was involved in one of the teams. I will never stop acknowledging her for her energy, enthusiasm, passion, initiative and rigour. I was really amazed by how much you were on top of everything, really commendable. Carme joined Pint of Science at a late stage and was able to catch up impressively with a lot of things that had already happened in a very short time; it was incredible how she managed to cope with a lot of difficult situations and solve problems at the last minute. It was also very nice to hear from speakers that they were struck by Carme and her questions, albeit she is not familiar with the field. Carme contributed to Pint of Science beyond what were her immediate tasks and did so proactively and without interfering with other people's job; rather, she was doing it constructively and with a great team spirit. Everyone in Cambridge was great this year, but there was a handful of people who really went the extra mile, beyond any expectation - and Carme is definitely one of those.

Main project involved analysis of big datasets. Using R and different phenotypic and genotypic data, we analysed missing heritability in complex traits such as behaviour.I also managed the collaboration with Autonomous University of Barcelona, ensuring projects to be delivered smoothly in coordination with both institutions.

My project involved the study of genetic basis of anxiety both by analising big phenotypic and genotypic datasets and validating a transgenic model for the study of hippocampal function. The first project was done as part of a collaboration between UAB (Autonomous University of Barcelona) and University of Oxford, and part of a European Consortium (EuraTRANS). The second project was entirely based at University of Oxford.
