Marketing Intern - Institute for Business Analytics and Visualization
-
Aug 2017 - Jan 2019
As an intern for the Institute for Business Analytics and Visualization, I was a part of two separate institute projects in which my team and I created comprehensive marketing strategies for two small businesses. For the 2017-2018 Institute Project, my team and I were tasked with creating a promotional strategy for the Wheaton-based tutoring service, Strategic Academic Services, Inc. We first developed a positioning statement that highlighted our client's points of differentiation that guided the subsequent work on the promotional campaign which included redesigning the website, creating a new brochure, and developing an engaging social media campaign. Additionally, we developed a customer relationship management strategy for establishing connections with local teachers and schools. As a member of the 2018-2019 Institute Project, I lead a team of 3 interns as we created a comprehensive marketing strategy for a small, Michigan-based organic beauty product company. We developed a marketing campaign that helped differentiate our client from their competition in a saturated market. Additionally, we created a new brochure, website, and social media campaign.
