  º In this role I worked to resolve energy insecurity and environmental injustice as it pertains to underrepresented groups such as BIPOC and those of low-socioeconomic backgrounds in rural North Carolina. º I created a database of all environmental initiatives being taken in the state by each individual county such as commitments to carbon reduction, public transportation electrification, and renewable energy. º From there, I analyzed the gaps and opportunities as well as trends amongst rural, low-SES counties, and served as a liaison between the Environmental Defense Fund and energy co-ops to help close the gaps.
