      In my role I work across both the Museum of Natural History and Pitt Rivers Museum. In my role at the Museum of Natural History I work on several projects and with a variety of audiences. My responsibilities include designing and delivering art intros/sessions to secondary art students from Key stage 3 and above. I am also the Family Education Officer which means I programme and implement all family events and resources, and supervise two people to deliver these sessions.I also started, developed and now run the Museum's Youth Forum 'The Dodo Crew'. I work with a group of 14-19 year olds to help them share their voice and passion about the Museum with others. I also project manage a bi-annual family science fair which involves recruiting scientists from within the University, museum, and environmental organisations. I also train and support them to deliver science based activity for families in the Museum for audiences of up to 3,000 people. Managing this science fair can involve supervising and supporting approximately 100 people at a time. In my role at the Pitt Rivers Museum I design, programme and deliver all family events and resources. This involves designing activities for children from 0-16 that are inspired by the Museum collections. As part of both of my roles I manage volunteers on a regular basis including for one-off events as well as regular rota based activity. I am responsible for making sure families are given a voice and understood as an audience by the Museum as an institution and are given the opportunity to engage with the collections.
