I perform year-round in main stage productions at Derby DInner Playhouse. I specialize in musical theatre (singing, dancing, acting) and perform for 100,000+ audience members each season. As a performer, I bring creativity, professionalism, and consistency to work with me on a daily basis.

I have been a proud member of the teaching staff at the Derby Dinner Playhouse Performing Arts Academy for three years. Each year we hold several workshops specializing in a different forms of theatre. I have taught audition techniques, musical theatre, creative dramatics, and dance technique in these workshops. In the summer season, we host week-long musical theatre camps. This summer we trained over 400 students through our camp program. Through our camps and workshops, students learn the importance of teamwork, energy, focus, and working toward a common goal. All students that go through our programs leave with a strong sense of self, and a greater love of theatre. Show less

As the creator of Loving heARTs, Inc., I venture out into the community to teach theatre arts, dance, and music to those with mental and physical disabilities. The goals of this program are designed to specifically address the various needs of our population including those with special needs who are learning disabled or physically disabled. The therapeutic goals for the program include: • To promote communication skills (expressive and receptive) • To promote social interaction (peer relationship building) • To enhance motor function • To foster the development of emotional regulation • To promote persistence on a task while heightening frustration tolerance by delaying gratification • To foster self-expression, creativity, and movement skills • To decrease impulsivity • To heighten concentration and language development • To increase social skills • To aid in the ability to form secure attachments • To increase empathic responding • To increase self-esteem, and self awareness Show less

At Mt. Tabor I offered myself as an assistant to the teachers of the mild/moderate handicapped classrooms as well as the severe/profound classrooms. I worked one on one with students with Asperger's Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome, Autism, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, ADHD, Tourette Syndrome, Dwarfism, hearing and visually impairments, as well as children with emotional distress. I guided these students as they struggled to perform life skills such as holding a pencil, memorizing their address, cleaning up after themselves, or even learning how to play with toys. My experiences working at Mt. Tabor have cultivated my passion for helping those with disabilities. Show less
