Carly demonstrates resilience, and curiosity in every conversation we have. She has shown strong career motivation and engagement with the upReach programme since joining as an Associate. She has also attended Video Forums and Insight Days to further enhance her Commercial Awareness in the Charity and Public Sector. It is always a pleasure to work with such a resilient student and I look forward to seeing everything Carly will achieve next!

I went to a workshop held at Lancaster University by Student Minds and received a certificate for participating. During the workshop we learned how to approach others who may need help, and how to be aware of problems which are not so obvious. I found the workshop extremely helpful for my upcoming role as a college rep as I will be working with students new to university life who may be struggling with settling in. It was also extremely useful for every relationship I hold and I am grateful for attending and the usefulness and truth the workshop held. Show less

For work experience, I worked as a TA for a year 2 class in Priory Parish CE Primary School. I gained office skills and also extremely valuable experience in the class room. This involved helping the children with their work, keeping them organised and answering any questions the children had and referring them to a teacher when necessary. I also participated in a school trip which gave me responsibility over the children to keep them safe and within a time schedule. I took part in the National Citizen Service and received a certificate at the end of my four week participation with the service. I gained many skills from the two week-long residentials, as well as much more experience from the charity work and fundraising for our chosen charity.
