frooly is a web platform for small businesses that not only provides them with a CMS style site but an online shop. It seeks to help small businesses by marketing their site, shop and products with minimum input from the business itself; it does this my automating marketing channels such as Facebook, Google Products, Google Adsense and Youtube, as well as selling products through its own “Marketplace” on the frooly.com site. The system is written in ASP.NET 4.0 C#, WCF, jQuery and uses an MS SQL backend hosted on Amazon EC2, and utilises Microsoft Ajax. Frooly also integrates with third party systems via OAuth, SOAP and REST.During my tenure at frooly I have had a number of roles, I started as a developer but within a year had been made senior developer due to hard work, diligence, being key in bringing new ideas to the project and showing I was capable of keeping the team running when the head of development was away. Since December 2010 I have taken on the role of Lead Developer which has given me overall responsibility of the development team and the project from the development side; though has led to more of a management role then a development one; which I’m keen to get back to.Responsibilities• Helping to guide project management by planning, organising & reviewing developments)• System Design & Architecture• System Implementation• Code Quality Control• Leading Development SCRUMs• Delegation of developments to other team members• Day to day running of the development team• Maintaining and updating processes to ensure the team is running effectively• Follow up of bug fixing• Developing code • Setup and maintenance of the Amazon EC2 environment• Ensuring ideas, skills and experience are shared between team members Show less

Whilst there I was a part of a team that developed a cut down version of this product for the web, named enQ; written in ASP.NET C# and Microsoft Ajax using an MS Sql Server 2005 database.
