We are thrilled with the success of our recent capital campaign, and Carlotta's guidance and leadership put us over the top. She is organized, knowledgeable, and "pleasantly persistent!" Her insider knowledge of economic and community development, coupled with a keen understanding of what potential investors want to know about a new program of work, meant that we put our best foot forward with our materials and messaging. Her adherence to process and follow-up meant that potential investors did not fall through the cracks. This was our organization's first campaign using a professional firm, and many of our volunteers were wary. They soon realized the expertise and value Carlotta brought to our team. We exceeded our fundraising goal and are now implementing our new program of work. I highly recommend engaging with Convergent Nonprofit Solutions. Their team of professionals will help your organization succeed

Carlotta has been a delight to work with as we have raised investment for our multi-year Forward Macon community fund. She was able to guide the clear articulation of often vague, though important, concepts and helped develop a solid case for support. Carlotta was very professional and detail-oriented in her tracking prospects, setting appointments, making presentations, following up, closing contributions, and reporting out to our steering committee. She even went above and beyond the fundraising to impart helpful advice based on her own past chamber experiences. I look forward to the opportunity to work with her again!

I bring my passion for community initiatives to each campaign, which means success for the client. It is gratifying to help organizations attract investors so that community initiatives that make a difference come to fruition. I am also part of Convergent's Outcome Labs team, developing Organization Value Propositions and Return on Investment analyses to help nonprofits tell their true value proposition. I've had the honor to work with several economic development organizations and chambers of commerce, including the Abilene (TX) Industrial Foundation, Greater Macon (Ga.) Chamber of Commerce, the Rowan (N.C.) Economic Development Commission, the Hampton Roads Economic Development Alliance, and Williamson, Inc. (Tenn.) Other campaigns outside economic development include an animal shelter and a food bank/homeless shelter. I have helped these organizations collectively raise more than $10 million. One particularly challenging project was working with the Rowan EDC on a campaign launched in February 2020., a few weeks before COVID shut down the economy. Despite COVID, we raised nearly $1.5 million for the Rowan EDC's Forward Rowan plan for growing jobs and investment. With these funds, the Rowan EDC has attracted more than 2,500 jobs and $584 million in capital investment in the last two years.

During my tenure, the Fayette Chamber increased its advocacy efforts, including a campaign that led to the passage of the first special projects local option sales tax since 2004. Membership retention increased by 14 percent, and corporate sponsorship more than doubled. The Chamber also received industry marketing awards in 2016 and 2018. As part of a community initiative called Fayette Visioning, the Chamber launched a countywide branding campaign, "Create Your Story." Fayette County and four municipalities, along with the Chamber and the Fayette County Development Authority, adopted logos using the stylebook for the "Create Your Story" campaign. The Chamber began StartUp Fayette to build a community of entrepreneurs in the high-tech, creative, and makers arenas. In 2016, the Fayette Chamber took a potentially controversial position asking Fayette County to settle a lawsuit with the NAACP that would have reversed district voting in the county. With the business community's urging, Fayette County and the Fayette NAACP settled the suit, and district voting remained intact. I was honored to be included among the community, and business leaders awarded Fayette County NAACP's inaugural Bridge Builder award for our efforts. I also served on the strategic planning team for the Atlanta Regional Commission's five-year strategic plan, CATALYST.

Led the Morrisville Chamber as it focused on growing business in Morrisville, NC, and the surrounding area, through business support and networking programs, advocacy, and economic development. Successes include a referendum campaign supporting bonds for road expansion in Morrisville and launching an entrepreneurial support program for startups. While in Morrisville, I was on the Carolinas Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives board. Before returning to Georgia, the last position I held was chair-elect; I served as a judge for the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives communications awards in 2012 and 2013. I was also on the board of the Morrisville Rotary.
