Carlos worked with us in the American Museum of Natural History's Biodiversity Informatics Facility as a Visiting Scientist. He was a pleasure to work with and I am happy to see him continue to succeed in his career. While at the Museum Carlos produced new high resolution climate maps for Southeast Asia. In order to produce the new map layers, he diligently uncovered and digitized new weather station data sources that had not been used in larger global climate projects. The resulting maps that Carlos produced provided a much clearer view of climate for the region.

Carlos was member of a team of expert cartographers who worked in a strategic project for Aurensis when I was CEO. It was a large international project extremely demanding in terms of complexity, technical abilities and time, where the job done by various teams from different countries was going to fit together. Although it was hard for Carlos and the team, it was a success and it turned into a long term sustainable activity for the company. It was a pleasure to have him onboard.
