I was awarded a postdoctoral scholarship from the Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET). My research focuses on the cosmic voids present in the large-scale spatial distribution of galaxies and their application as cosmological probes in order to deepen our understanding about the nature of dark energy and the laws of gravity. Specifically, my work focuses on the design of cosmological tests from two statistics: (i) the void-galaxy cross-correlation function, which characterises the density and velocity fields around voids, and (ii) the void size function, which describes their abundance in the Universe. In particular, I dedicate my studies to the two primary systematic effects that affect both of them caused by the geometrical (Alcock-Paczynski) and dynamical (Kaiser) distortions observed in the spatial distribution of galaxies from spectroscopic surveys, which must be modelled appropriately in order to obtain unbiased cosmological constraints. I am currently designing tests from my own models to be applied in state-of-the-art spectroscopic surveys. Show less

    • PHD Scholar
      • Apr 2016 - Mar 2021

I have a PhD in Astronomy from the Facultad de Matemática, Astronomía, Física y Computación of the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (FaMAF - UNC). I was awarded a PhD scholarship from the Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET). I specialised in the field of Large Scale Structure of the Universe and Cosmology. My research focused on cosmic voids present in the large-scale spatial distribution of galaxies and their application as cosmological probes in order to deepen our understanding about the nature of dark energy and the laws of gravity. I have contributed to the field with three papers published in a prestigious international journal: MNRAS. My PhD thesis was awarded the ICTP-SAIFR Prize in Classical Gravity and Applications.
