Secondly, the President works closely with the Executive Director (CEO) and Board of Directors regarding the company, including employment, budget, facilities, and strategic planning.Highlights of the achievements include: researched and identified funding for on-campus food pantry to support food insecurity for students; expanded employee benefits to include access to recreation center; began to establish partnerships with local and alternative transportation agencies; adjusted internal procedures to accommodate conversion to semester system.

      The ASI Vice President is elected with the ASI President to serve the more than 24,000 students of Cal Poly Pomona. In this role, I served as chair of the Board of Directors for the organization, which consisted of fourteen (14) voting members, two (2) ex-officio non-voting members, and four (4) liaisons. I was responsibly for developing the agendas and meeting packets, and worked closely with administrative staff for posting to comply with public meeting laws. I was also in charge of working closely with staff to develop training for student leaders. Highlights of the achievements include: development of student leader training that better fits the academic year, established protocols for submitting agenda items to be discussed or reviewed by the Board of Directors, successfully approved three (3) budgets total more than $15 million.
