Consulting to Build a Comprehensive Cancer Center

My task was to make a diagnosis of the problems in three community hospitals , part of the São Camilo Hospital Network in São Paulo , in order to propose modifications in their inner flow since the admission of cancer patients through steps involving diagnosis (surgical and clinical pathology), imaging for staging and the whole spectrum of ambulatory care, infusion clinics and in-hospital dedicated infirmary for oncologic patients. Our work involved the organization of a network of reference from surgeons and clinicians from the institution (organizing tumor boards and continuous medical education platforms) as well as the mounting of a organized network of patients capture from local physicians not yet commited with the São Camilo Hospitals but willing to join our services. The complete work would be the operational phase which would also include the construction of a RadiationTherapy as well as Nuclear Medicine Platforms, so important to guarantee a Comprehensive Cancer Center.
