Jan 2017 - Jul 2020
Conducting research at the School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences at the University of Technology, Sydney, focusing on the study of nanomaterials, such as diamond, for the development of novel nanotechnologies in optics, photonics and solid-state physics. Areas of expertise: laser physics, confocal and atomic force microscopy (AFM), single-photon detection, optically detected magnetic resonance (ODMR), chemical vapour deposition (CVD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and nanomanipulation, optical trapping. I am currently investigating the properties of fluorescent colour centres in nanodiamond materials and how these can be harnessed for advancing quantum information technologies and quantum computing, as well as biological marking and tracking, medical imaging and single-spin sensing. -
Aug 2015 - Apr 2018
Teaching Martial Arts. Courses are based on Tae Kwon Do and Shotokan Karate, but they includes elements from other Martial Arts. Focus is put on developing self-defence skills and transferrable physical abilities, e.g. coordination, flexibility, strength, endurance, etc. Students will improve their technical skills as well as develop Character, Sincerity, Effort, Self-Control and Courtesy which are the precepts Martial Arts, but also fitting guiding principles for life Teaching Martial Arts. Jun 2012 - Jun 2013
Conducting research at the Department of Physics at Sydney University, focusing on the study of nanomaterials, such as diamond, for the development of novel nanotechnologies in optics, photonics and solid-state physics. Areas of expertise: laser physics, confocal and atomic force microscopy (AFM), single-photon detection and optically detected magnetic resonance (ODMR). I specifically investigated the properties of diamond materials as they are host to colour centres, i.e. crystallographic impurities, with unique spin and optical properties. Identified future applications include: quantum information technologies and quantum computing, biological marking and tracking, medical imaging and single-spin sensing. Show less

Jun 2007 - Jul 2008
Realization and Implementation of Systems for Plant Process Control. I specifically worked on the Qchem II project in Doha, Qatar (http://www.cpchem.com/bl/nao/en-us/Pages/Q-ChemII.aspx. Maire Tecnimont’s contractor was Chevron Phillips). I was involved in the design and optimisation of the process for the production of polymers: normal alpha olephin (NAO) facility and polyethylene (PE) facility. My responsibilities included: Design, Engineering and Factory Acceptance Tests of Emergency Systems (SIS) and of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) in normal working conditions. Softwares: Triconex Tristation (SIS), DeltaV (DCS). Show less
