I had the pleasure of working with Carla in her role as GM of Aspergers Victoria, and I as a volunteer at the same organisation. Carla brought to AV a clear roadmap and organisational skills that small non-profits can sometimes lack. Despite being in and out of lockdown in Melbourne, she led AV with energy and passion and revitalised many programs throughout AV. I am sad to see her go, but certainly she leaves AV in a better place then when she started.

Carla is a dependable manager/leader. When I first reached out to Carla regarding an unfamiliar enterprise with Asperger's Victoria she was very responsive and accommodating. Although the program that I was suggesting was inherently strange (as the name Dungeons and Dragons reveals), Carla investigated the possibility without hesitation or reservation. Within a short space of time my colleague and I were not only assured of Carla's support and backing, moreover we found ourselves meeting over Zoom to discuss the logistics of implementing our suggested program. Within a few short weeks Carla had assembled a capable team to make the program a reality. From term 3 2020, four groups of young AV members were enjoying meeting up via Zoom in the depth of the harshest Victorian lockdown to adventure far and wide as intrepid heroes and friends. With Carla's continued input and guidance this has grown now to a reputable and popular activity for AV. Multiple game sessions take place every school term enabling participants to meet old and new friends and develop their social skills and passive learning opportunities. On an economic level the AV D&D program generates revenue and has created employment both within the organisation and outside. This has been a truly enriching experience and an absolute success for all of us involved. All the best with your future post Carla. "May the dice always roll in your favour".
